Group Lataire is a Belgian family business with a strong specialization in animal healthcare for racing pigeons, ornamental birds, dogs and cats. From Aalter, we combine product development, production, wholesale, logistics and international distribution.
Our companies support both professional customers and partners as well as private customers via our webshops with specialized products and practical knowledge.
SINCE 1947
Three generations of entrepreneurship.
What started in 1947 as a local trade in animal feed grew into an international group with expertise in development, production, wholesale, and distribution.
The origin
Gerard Lataire first started a grain and animal feed business in Beernem, and later in Knesselare, serving the farmers in the region.
The next generation
Christiaan Lataire takes over the family business and further expands the activities as an Aveve pet and garden center.
Specialized wholesaler
The launch of Suskewiet and two acquisitions lead to the creation of Group Lataire.
International growth
TNL Pharma is founded in the Netherlands. Group Lataire moves to Aalter and grows into the logistical hub.
A clear group structure
Subsidiary Orovet bv bundles production, while Belpharmed bv is responsible for wholesale, sales, and logistics.
Further broadening
Group Lataire is further expanding its expertise and activities towards the dog sector with a strong online presence.
